This semester, we have been piloting the use of the swivl lecture capture robot.  The swivl device has two parts – a rotating/tilting base which holds an iOS or Android device and a small fob which is used to track the speaker and has a built in wireless microphone to capture  audio.  The fob also has provides control for the device and app which runs on the iOS or Android device.  Video is captured to the app and can then be uploaded to a cloud service available through swivl, youtube or downloaded to further processing or sharing.

Here is a video of our brown-bag session from earlier this fall.
